Why are we wasting resources in BC for construction of more hotel buildings?
Apartment buildings could be mixed-use for short-term rentals/hotels, and of course supportive housing.
If hotels are wanting to convert to long-term housing in the future, they couldn't because they would need extensive renovations to do so, costing even more money.

When you see inflation on necessities like food and shelter, what are you going to do to reduce demand?
Inflating prices on necessities doesn't reduce demand, it reduces people's ability to get what they need.
Because of Canada's size and how spread out the population is, we have to accept that things will be more expensive here. But more needs to be done to address the issue of inflation.
